Some Questions for Todd:
Why did you start the Sainthood Project? Why do you write?
I'm tired of angry, jealous, envious behavior on the part of people who evangelize. I was tired of my own anger. I figured the best way to change my own behavior was to open myself up to the healing grace of Jesus Christ in having a personal relationship with Him through His Catholic Church. I made a commitment in Lent of 2009 to write every day and except for a few days and a kidney surgery, I've kept to that.
I think that all of us have the potential to change the world in the way that the saints have. We just need to allow Christ to work through us, to heal us of our addictions to sin, and to bring out the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit so that we can live the Gospel.

How do you pray?
Any way I can. I am imperfect in my prayer but trying every day to be better. I read Scripture, pray the rosary, spend time in Eucharistic Adoration, I sing a lot... mostly to myself. The most profound prayer has been simply to put myself in the presence of Jesus Christ, to be around Him and to converse and share my life with Him. I often pray while I am talking to people. Not because I am not listening, because I want to be Christ to them while I am speaking to them and praying helps me to listen and keep my mouth shut.
I am a pretty intense fan of praise and worship, charismatic prayer, but most of all, the Mass. I think that Latin is beautiful and should be used in the Mass more, but I don't think most people can sustain a transition back to the "old order" of the Mass. The result of all that is I don't have discussions about liturgy or the Mass because I think that when people do, they are missing the point, which is Jesus Christ. We have the Mass, it's not that complicated, stick to it.
Are you political?
Yes. Very and passionately. The more I dive into my faith, the more I realize that both Republicans and Democrats care nothing for what I believe and I owe no loyalty to either of them. I love our country but do not believe that it will last forever. It is not the Kingdom of God. Neither government nor corporations have all the answers. It's really more important to me that the government help us be good.
What is your daily schedule?
Wake up. Pray. Love the wife and family. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. Sometimes I'll throw in exercise.
I travel a lot for the Sainthood Project and it takes a lot out of me to do so. I love doing it. I really try to avoid getting angry about silly things and I try to laugh as much as possible.
What do you believe, in a nutshell?
Jesus. There is nothing else. Out of Him flows the Creed, the Church, all of our faith. Pure Jesus is enough for an eternity.
How old are you?
36. Still learning how to love.
